McKenzie Wardwell is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in the healthcare field. She began her career as a surgical nurse in the operating room and later transitioned to critical care, where she developed a deep appreciation for preventive care and the long-term impact of lifestyle on health.
It was during her years at the bedside that McKenzie’s interest in nutrition and lifestyle medicine took root. Witnessing firsthand the effects of chronic illness, obesity, and poor nutrition, she became passionate about helping patients take control of their health through evidence-based, sustainable lifestyle changes.
Over the past 8 years, McKenzie has trained extensively in medical aesthetics and functional medicine, completing advanced education and hands-on workshops across the country. Her approach blends medical expertise with aesthetic intuition, rooted in the belief that graceful aging starts with a personalized skincare foundation and is elevated through thoughtful, evidence-based treatments.
In the past 3 years, McKenzie has built a practice where patients feel comfortable, supported, and cared for—prioritizing high-quality, accessible healthcare in a welcoming environment. Her commitment to expanding access to integrative care has fueled the continued growth of her practice.
Beginning this fall, she is proud to offer Primary Care and Functional Medicine services, further aligning her mission to support the whole person—inside and out.
When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find McKenzie at the beach with her dog, Violet, practicing yoga, or exploring the beauty of Charleston.
